Hey, I'm Francesca!
I studied communication design at Folkwang University (Essen, Germany), followed by a Design+Change MFA at Linnaeus University (Växjö, Sweden).
The motivation for working in design is to explore the intersection of politics and design, the good, but especially the bad and ugly – to make it less bad and less ugly.
I started out working primarily with typography (print), but slowly transitioned towards digital media; the master's degree allowed me to expand my conceptual and theoretical understanding with focus on ecological and social sustainability.
